MARKETING

Did you stare at the above image for awhile? So did I.

My friend Marie took my headshots for my website. In between takes, she snapped this photo of my dreadlocks. I thought it looked cool, so I posted it on my site.

But what does it really say about me? You can’t see my face, it’s pointing awkwardly at my chest, and certainly doesn’t advertise my marketing services effectively.

Would you choose a different image? Maybe you think it gives off a cool, artsy vibe. On the other hand, maybe I could be more “businesslike” and less “artsy” to attract customers.

There really is no right or wrong answer. Every choice communicates something different based on your objective, personal style, and brand values.

Like it or not, every time you blog, post a picture on Instagram, or update your Facebook page, you’re choosing a medium, a platform, and sending out a message. Perhaps you’re sharing your goals and achievements, promoting your business, or selling your product or service. The industry calls it marketing, but it’s all storytelling.

It can be tough figuring out how to use words, images, videos, and social media to best promote your work. But you’re not alone: every person, brand, or company is making dozens of choices every day about how to tell their story. That’s where I can help.

With 10+ years of marketing and communications experience, I help a range of clients—from artists, to startups, nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies—strategize marketing campaigns and create content such as podcasts, videos, blogs, websites, e-blasts, and social media posts.

My expertise runs the gamut from content writing and videography, to marketing, fundraising, and business consulting. I help brands tell stories that connect authentically with audiences.

For starters, tell me about your project and I’ll set up a free consultation to discuss it. You can also choose one of my products below or join my mailing list for a 10% discount, plus tips on how to tell your story better. Looking forward!

Onward and upward,
